How long after I order my items will I receive them? TOP

Our slings are not mass produced and for the most part assembled and made for you after you have placed your order. All of our orders ship within 7 business days (M-F excluding holidays) although many ship before then. If there is a longer wait we will annouce it on our home page.

We ship via USPS priority mail so to most parts of the country you will receive your Mommy Couture baby sling within 4 days of shipment.

What is the difference between Nickel Plated Steel Rings and Aluminum Slingrings? TOP
Nickel plated steel is a heavier metal.  People don't usually notice the weight while wearing the sling with a child inside but more the weight of the rings is most often noticed when you are wearing your sling without a child in it. For example a lot of people wear their sling while driving and baby is in carseat so when they reach their destination baby can be quickly put in the baby sling. In this circumstance some people prefer the lighter weight of the Aluminum Slingrings because the heavier Steel rings will rotate down to your hip making you have to bring the rings back up to shoulder level. Aluminum rings are sometimes also preferred if you are going to be machine drying your baby sling; because of their lighter weight Aluminum Slingrings tend to be a little easier on your dryer.

How do I know if my Baby Sling will fit? TOP

That depends on what style carrier you are purchasing.

All of the Ring Slings (hip Mommy Slings and Babybean slings)  on our site (unless otherwise indicated) are made to fit people who wear size small-XXL and still have a long enough tail for cover up while nursing,the sun ect. If this sling is going to be worn by someone who would not need to cover up for nursing (Dad) it could even fit a larger person. If you are purchasing a  Hip Mommy Pouch Sling there is a size chart to help you determine your size on the Hip Mommy Pouch page. Measure loosely from shoulder to the side of your hip bone . Your Mommy Couture Hip Mommy Pouch size should go along with your FITTED (snug) shirt size. What is the difference between a BabyBean Sling and a Hip Mommy Sling TOP

Mommy Couture Hip Mommy slings and BabyBean slings are both quality slings made by seperate manufacturers. The most obvious difference is the wide array of fabric choices both brands offer. Both Hip Mommy Slings and BabyBean Slings use quality materials and are handcrafted. To seasoned babywearers the biggest difference is shoulder style. Babybean slings use what is commonly referred to as a "hotdog roll shoulder". Mommy Couture Hip Mommy Slings use the "overlap shoulder cup". Both shoulder styles are versital and alow for perfect positioning for maximum comfort. We are positive whichever brand sling you buy from Mommy Couture that you will be happy with your purchase.

How large of a toddler/ infant do Mommy Couture slings carry? TOP
Mommy Couture Hip Mommy Baby Slings, Hip Mommy Pouches and Babybean slings are for use with infants and toddlers up to 35 lbs. Our rings and assembled slings have been tested to hold much more but for wearers safety and comfort we recommend they are for use for children under 35lbs.

What Shoulder style do you use? TOP

Mommy Couture Hip Mommy slings and basic baby slings use the an overlap shoulder cup. Similar to what other name brand slings call the shoulder cap flap BUT our  "overlap shoulder cup" is much wider offering wearing great adjustment possibilties. From all the way overlapped, not overlapped to any width in between that is most comfortable for the wearer. We also know how to do the "hotdog roll shoulder" and can do that upon request.

How do I care for my Mommy Couture Baby Sling? TOP

Mommy Couture baby slings are made of washable materials..after all babies can be a little messy. We suggest you wash your Mommy Couture baby sling in cold water. Although you can machine dry your sling we suggest hanging to dry as this is better for the enviroment and will make your sling last even longer! If you do machine dry your sling we suggest putting heavy socks over your rings to minimalize the noise.

There are 2 thing you should never use when washing your sling.

  1. Bleach: bleach weakens fabric fibers
  2. Fabric softener- Fabric softener leave residue on fabric and could decrease the abilitly of the rings to grip the sling.
